Journey into Retirement: A Shadorma

The next journey officially begins today. Not all trips are geographical ~ there are those of the inner self, too. I’ve written a shadorma on this first day of the new chapter.

This is it!

too many

years I’ve spent working ~

wake early

get up, get

dressed, get out, pound the grindstone

…this is it

  1. Congratulations on this milestone. While I continue to dabble on a part time basis, the freedom of sleeping in sometimes, visiting at will, and embracing time is a gift that only those of us who are very lucky get to experience. While I miss back to school shopping for notebooks, not having those Sunday night dreads is great!

    1. Amen, Anita! Thank you so much for reading and sharing the journey. I agree – – we are fortunate to be able to experience the joy of retirement! I have a serious notebook problem – – I still shop for them, and I may not be able to stop that train. I like a good Moleskine! Those Sunday night dreads are for real….I look forward to not missing them right along with you.
