what is it about
making soup that brings comfort?
heartiness, warmth, taste?
when days feel untied
I take out the steel kettle
fire the front burner
pour in chicken stock
add vegetables and spices
let it simmer……..breathe

Oh that’s just how I felt last night when I made homemade applesauce. I kept sticking my head over the pot to breathe in those apples! I love your photo too!

Oh, how I love homemade applesauce! This makes me want to make a pot of it myself. I can’t imagine how wonderful the house must smell when those apples cook and there is a hint of cinnamon. Sounds absolutely delicious!
