Your picture, with the military vessel behind it, is haunting and also wistful at the same time. I do realize, though, that all seaside communities are changed by the influx o baby-boomer money and tourism gone wild. My own children laugh when I tell them I camped on the ocean in Ocean City Maryland as a newlywed! I did, for real. My daughter and family are headed to the beach as I write this, however, as the lure of the ocean remains powerful.
