they said I’d see Blucifer
outside Denver’s airport
his eyes glowing evil red
I stayed on the lookout
from our Uber’s front seat
and sure enough: there he stood!

(biting at a chicken’s head)

Margaret, we didn’t have a lot of time to explore, but we did go to Union Station and walk around downtown. The Thirsty Lion had the best food! I got the Tuscan Romano Chicken, and it was delicious. There is a sound walk where various sounds like animal noises and yodeling come up through the grates in the sidewalk. You will love the art – it’s everywhere! My favorite store was Overland, but I didn’t buy a thing. You’re going to love Denver! I will miss being there for NCTE this year.
