I tried a Random Word poem, inspired by Margaret Simon. I chose the book That sounds like Fun : the Joys of Being an Amateur, the Power of Falling in Love, and Why you Need a Hobby by Annie F. Downs. My five random words are in bold.
Churros
Hangriness put me at one
with the sizzling churros –
my heretical answer
to workday stress comfort food,
deep-fried flavor
flourishing in the heat
a hilarious irony of contrast.
Indeed, comfort and stress are contrasts. I love churros and am willing myself not to crave them after reading this fun poem.

I have got to try this form! I am loving your poem from that very first word, “Hangriness.” Also love thinking of churros as a “heretical” answer to workday stress. Those things are insanely delicious. As is this poem.
