  1. Thank you, Fran. That’s my Uncle Laverne’s grocery store that was around the corner from my grandparents’ and great grandmother’s house. That place holds a lot of candy memories – the kind in an old oak and glass shelf display with a sliding door where you could stand thinking about things forever before deciding. Plain M&Ms were always the choice. Still are. I’ll bet you have a lot of those same kinds of memories! We seem to have walked so many of the same childhood paths.
