Today’s poem is an epitaph, a poem written upon death or words engraved on a tombstone. Mine takes the form of a haiku also and was inspired by the meme above.
Finnished
Here lies he whose stuff
got in the way of living.
Don't be like he was.

Patchwork Prose and Verse
Kim,
This is sad. It’s something I think about often. Will anyone mourn when I pass? Guess I’ll never know. Cats in the Cradle echoes in your poem.

Glenda, I think about it too. Thank you for reading today! I was going to call it Finnished but didn’t want to generalize the culture this way – just a play on words. Thanks for all your encouragement and kind words!
